Under the umbrella of the exhibition “Algarve from Kingdom to Region”, we would like to present some information about the individual participating museums for people to visit. This month we feature Alcoutim.
ALCOUTIM, TERRA DA FRONTEIRA (FRONTIER TOWN) On the banks of the river Guadiana facing the Spanish town, Sanlucar, the exhibition ponders the ancient relationship between these towns as well as their links with Castro Marim and Vila Real de St. Antonio. All is to be found in the open air in the ancient town centre. An historic trip for you and your summer visitors with info in several languages.
The Museum at São Brás is open on weekdays from 10:oo until 13:oo and from 14:00 until 17:00; on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays it is open from 14:00 until 17:00. Entry 2 €, Children 1 € (Free to senior citizens and Friends of the Museum). For guided tours ring 289 840 100.
