 Brian Mehl, nasceu em 1946. Aos 18 anos iniciou o Curso Gráfico no London College of Printing. Após da qualificação com o Diploma, trabalhou num escritório de publicidade em Londres, durante várious anos, até abrir o seu próprio negócio quedirigiu com sucesso durante 23 anos. Aposentou-se em 1996, e decidiu vir residir em Portugal, onde se dedica à pintura a tempo inteiro. Gosta de trabalhar todos os tècnicas: òleo, aguarala, acrílico, làpis de cor, carvão e pastel.
As suas obras encontram-se em colecções particulares, pela Alemanha, Canadá, Inglaterra,e em Portugal. Brian é o autor das imagens reproduzidas nos rótulos de vinho algarvio VIDA NOVA de Sir Cliff Richard e da Adega da Quinta do Miradouro, na Guia, Albufeira.

- Em 2008, teve a sua primeira exposição a solo “Uma Vista Mais Larga”, na Galeria da escola das Artes de Lagoa.
- Em 2009, teve a sua secundo exposição a solo “Algarve Desaparecido”, na Biblioteca Municipal de Lagoa.
Participou regulamente na exposição bienal “Cores e Formas dos Nossos Artistas”, em Albufeira; Em 2001 ganhou uma Menção Honrosa; em 2003 ganhou o 2º Prémio; em 2005 ganhou outra Menção Honrosa; em 2007 e 2009 foi seleccionado para a exposição.

 Brian Mehl was born in 1946. At the age of 18, he went to the London College of Printing where he successfully completed a Degree Course in Graphic Design. He then worked as a Graphic Designer, eventually starting and running his own design company for 23 years. In 1996 he retired to Portugal to pursue his dream of painting as a full time occupation. He likes to work in all media and has no preference for subject matter or style but would rather approach each painting or drawing as an individual problem and let the subject suggest it’s own solution.
His painting of Sir Cliff Richard’s vineyard in 2001 was incorporated into the label design for Sir Cliff’s VIDA NOVA wines. He has been commissioned each year since to produce new paintings for that year’s red, white and rosé wines.
His paintings can be found in private collections in Canada, England, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, Switzerland and the United States.
He has regularly participated in the biennial exhibition “Cores e Formas dos Nossos Artistas”, in Albufeira. In 2001 gaining an Honourable Mention; in 2003 winning second prize; in 2005 an Honourable Mention; in 2007 and 2009 was selected for exhibition at the Albufeira Municipal Gallery.
