Jerry Stivers was born in Southern California. He has lived and worked in fourteen countries on five continents. He has been able to visit some of the more exotic places of the world -- Afghanistan (before the Russians), Bali (before jumbo jets), Bangladesh (when it was East Pakistan), Dahomey (before it was Togo), Nepal, Zaire, the Cameroons, Egypt, Sri Lanka and Chile.
He now lives in the Algarve with his wife Leta Rae. He started taking black & white photographs while living and working in Pakistan. He started exhibiting in Nigeria and has held several exhibitions since moving to Portugal. . |
