Art Exhibition Opening:
Collective

Evolution - Where Will It End? (Ben Helmink)Opening on the 10th October at 18:00 at the Museum in São Brás is a new exhibition by artists who could best be described collectively as ‘experimental’.

Bringing together artists Ben Helmink (see image left), Peter de Jong, Silvia Cavelti, Hilary Holt and Charlie Holt the walls will be covered with inspirational art – that is, by artists inspired by thoughts – like Peter de Jong’s Buddhist-based ‘man in a landscape’ paintings, or by textures, like Silvia Cavelti, whose work reflects the years she spent working in textiles, or by shapes, like Hilary Holt’s creations which are fusions of images and colours. An exhibition which is also inspiring for the visitor. ~

The exhibition will be open until 27 November 2009 and entry is free (including the Opening).

Following on from the exhibition opening will be the second performance at the Museum of Dido and Aeneas, a combined production by Canticorum choir and Aperitivo Performance Group, and including a full cast of heroes, heroines, witches, sailors, musicians and dancing girls. What more can you ask? The performance starts at 20:00. Tickets for the performance cost 10 € (8 € for Amigos).
