Teresa Vasconcellos e Sá

Teresa Quartin Bastos Vasconcellos e Sá, was born in Lisbon,16th December 1961.

She lived several years in Mozambique, Angola and later on in England. Teresa is married and has three children. She studied in London, England, between 1976 and 1984, at Ealing College of Higher Education, where she completed a Foundation Course in Art, Design and Visual Communications and later on at the Chelsea School of Art, where she obtained a Higher National Diploma Btec – Approved Course in Art, Design and Textile Design.

Upon her return to Portugal, she decided to set up her own business as a Textile Designer, creating and selling her own Printed Fabrics and Rugs, especially for Children Bedrooms. These Fabrics were sold throughout the country. She also participated in Interior Decoration Projects for Hotels.

In 2002, tired of the commercial side of her business, she decided to ”turn the page” and went back to her Creative nature. This is when she started using as techniques: “Pastel on Paper” and “Acrylic on Canvas”. Since then, Teresa has had her paintings displayed at Individual Exhibits and also with other Artists, in Lisbon, Oporto and Évora.

Teresa de Lima Mayer Quartin Bastos de Vasconcellos e Sá, nasceu em Lisboa em 1961. Viveu em Portugal , Moçambique , Angola e Inglaterra , tendo voltado para Portugal em 1984. É casada e tem 3 filhos. Em Inglaterra estudou 7 anos : More House School-London – A`Level – Art and Portuguese Ealing College of Higher Education – London – Foundation Course in Art, Design and Visual Communications Chelsea School of Art – London - Higher National Diploma Btec-Approved Course in Art ,Design and Textile Design.

Em Portugal dedicou-se ao Design têxtil, tendo criado e distribuído por todo o País Tecidos e Tapetes com Design próprio, para a decoração infantil, tendo chegado a explorar directamente 2 lojas, além de ter participado em projectos de decoração em Hotelaria.

Em 2002 , decidiu “virar a página”, retomando a criatividade Artística, e utilizando como Técnica: o Pastel sobre Papel e Acrílico sobre Tela.
