"Music is well said to be the speech of angels" (Thomas Carlyle)

The Story So Far!
On 23rd March 2006, the choir, consisting of just five female singers, held a trial concert at the museum.
Since then, the choir has been expanding. Portuguese and other members of the disbanded choir Frederike-Eberth-Chores joined, and it now has about 40 members, of whom 20 are German-speaking, 13 are English, 3 are Portuguese, 2 are Dutch and 2 are Norwegian.

The repertoire comprises mainly renaissance music (madrigals), baroque music and some romantic pieces and folk settings in many European languages including Portuguese.
The Choir is now enjoying a good reputation and is being asked to perform in other venues with other music groups.
All of this is directed with patience, tolerance, laughter and sensitivity by Walter Sulzer whose love of choral music inspires the singers to give their best harmonious and sensitive singing. It is a joy to hear.
He is supported by Sylvy Wilks who coaches the choir with fun exercises at the start of each practice.
