Art Opening Preview: Town & Country (New Gallery)
One of the beauties of the Algarve is that the most rural countryside is dotted with villages, and even in a big town, the country is not only never far away, but also the trees and flowers in every back yard provide a touch of the country within the concrete.
This exhibition of paintings celebrates the beauties of both landscapes – urban and rural, and features work by Liz Allen, Geraldine Bachmann, José Capitão Mor, Sisa, Stela Barreto and Francisco Graça.
To introduce the exhibition, Aperitivo Performance Group present The Ant and the Watermelon, a piece based on that most Algarvian conjunction of town and country – the golf course.
The exhibition will continue until 27th September.
