St Valentine's Day Dinner and Dance, with the New Orleans Jazz Band

Last year our Valentine’s Dinner/Dance was a huge success but left some disappointed because they booked too late. We have limited space, and reservations for this year are being received already. To avoid disappointment BOOK NOW!

This year the dinner and dance will take place on Saturday 13 February 19:30h at the New Gallery in the Museum. We are offering a 3-course dinner (vegetarian option available) with music by the NEW ORLEANS JAZZ BAND for the same price as last year 25€/20€ Amigos.
Your reservation will only be confirmed on receiving full payment. Spaces are filling up quickly so don’t be late for this very popular event!
Dress Code is smart casual.

Jazz @ The Museum - Vibraphone Quartet
The return of Duncan Kinnel, an English professional musician on vibraphone, who has played with Sammy Davis Jr., Gladys Knight and Diana Ross amongst others.
This multi-instrumentalist (piano, voice, drums and percussion) will play at the Jazz Club with the well-known Portuguese bass-player Nuno Gonçalves, who is known for his directorship of the Hot Club de Jazz in Lisbon, Paul Davidson, one of the best jazz-guitar players in the Algarve, and, last but definitely not least, Clive Pracy on drums.
Their repertoire consists of well-known themes by composers such as Michel Legrand, Bill Evans, Burt Bacharach, George Gershwin, Kurt Weil, Cole Porter and many others.
As usual there will be a jam session after the concert.

Concert: 
The Trip Tango project was initiated in 2008 by students of the Music Department of Évora University. One of their objectives is the sound of the Tango but more specifically the music of the great master of the Argentine Tango, Astor Piazzolla.
The project was originally for accordion and piano but has recently included the violin and bass thus amplifying the range of sound and music.
The group is made up of Jorge Caeiro - accordion, Selmo Carreira - piano, Rita Sousa - violin and Tiago Valentim - bass.
