Jazz @ The Museum: Hot Four

The Quartet Hot Four was born when a couple of musicians from the Algarve thought it was a good idea to share their enthusiasm for jazz with an audience, resulting in a dynamic performance on stage. Besides standards, they also play Bossa Nova tunes, beautifully performed by Betty.

Classical Concert: Teresa Matias (Bisel Flute) and Helder de Sousa (Clavecimbal/Harpsichord)

Their unique program of early Baroque music entitled, Perola do Atlantico (Pearl of the Atlantic), is a musical journey through western Europe using historical copies of the original instruments. The program includes pieces by Van Eyck and Sweelinck (The Netherlands), Hoteterre and Rameau (France), Locke (England), Ortiz (Spain) and Araujo (Portugal). A true variety of ancient sounds and themes. For lovers of Baroque music this concert should not be missed.

Please book in advance to be assured of a ticket.
