The Good Time Jazz Band (Sunday 4th, 8.00pm)

Back at the Museum, by popular demand, The Good Time Jazz Band features classic jazz standards and popular music of the 1920's and 30's. The music has great novelty and nostalgic appeal to all ages and nationalities. Brian Harvey, the music critic for Just Jazz, New Orleans Music and Jazz Gazette (England's leading jazz magazines), comments: "This multi-national band specialises in plain uncomplicated Dixieland jazz in the classic style and spiced with a great deal of entertaining variety. They play the usual standards like Livery Stable Blues but also include semi-comedy numbers like Masculine Women, sung by their excellent vocalist Karen Love, and classic vaudeville songs like Flamin' Mamie.

Las Guitarras Locas (Sunday 18th March, 6.00pm)

Las Guitarras Locas Las Guitarras Locas is a project of instrumental music based on the communication and interraction between two guitars on stage, interpreting original compositions and themes from other authors. The Latin feel, with jazz, blues and flamenco influences, are the main flavours of the musical moments transmitted to the audience. After their first record "Las Guitarras Locas" in 2002, João Cuña and Luis Fialho did a highly-acclaimed national tour, and they are now working on their second record "Guitarra Tejo" with the participation of Raimund Engelhardt on percussion (tables and cajon). Raimund also appears as their special guest at this event, which is proudly presented by the Jazz-Club do Museu de São Brás.

Sunday 18th March from 6.00pm until 8.00pm. Entry 5 €.
