Inauguration of Museum Exhibition
On Friday May 14th, the Museum will inaugurate a new long-term exhibition entitled: Algarve in the 19th Century: The Romantic period.
This exhibition forms part of a joint venture with the collective title: Do Reino ao Regiao ("From a Kingdom to a Region") with other museums of the Algarve Museum Network (Rede de Museus do Algarve) and is a "first" in the history of this network.
The interior of our Museum will be transformed into a series of “spaces” called salas, each of which will contain a unique experience and sensations of different aspects of life in Algarve in the 19th century, ranging from the industrial to the social; from rough workmen to high society ladies and their pastimes. The visitor is invited to embark on this journey through time and see, hear, smell, touch and admire.
We invite you to be present at the inauguration and share this experience.
