First Festival of Literature, Algarve
This will take place all over the Algarve from 16-19 Sept. Languages will be Portuguese, English and German. Famous writers have been invited to participate in readings and discussions with the public about their works.
The festival also includes concerts, recitals, films and gastronomic interludes in hotels and restaurants, where authors can read from their works in a relaxed atmosphere.

Jazz Club: Combos Festival
In co-operation with the associations Gremio das Músicas (AGM) and Filarmónica de Faro, the Jazz-Clube do Museu de São Brás will start the new season with a Festival of Combos, outside in the beautiful garden of the Museum. 6 combos with levels ranging from beginners to professional will be presenting their own repertoire: Super Combo ; Combo Segunda ; Monday's Groove; Strak Track ; Thursday Mood and the Sunday Stompers.
Come and experience for yourselves that it's never too late to participate in musical activities and what great fun it is. All musicians will be playing completely free of charge. The proceeds from the sale of tickets at the door will be donated to both associations in order to help support their musical educational effort.

Classical Music Concert: Ensemble Divers (Flute, Violin, Viola, Cello)
The Youth Orchestra, Ensemble Divers, from North-Rhine – Westphalia, Germany, founded in Cologne in 2008, will be performing at the Museu do Trajo.
This young ensemble is made up of 5 active musicians: Nastassja Zalica (transverse flute), Roxana Niesemann (violin), Thea Grützner (viola), Johanna Bäß (violoncello) and Tobias Haunhorst (piano). They have already been awarded several prizes for their musical achievements and are a delight to listen to.
This year they have toured all over Europe. These tours are sponsored by the Germany Embassies as well as the Goethe Institute.
The programme will include works by Mozart, Andreae,
Webern, Beethoven, Genzmer and Schuman.
