Lutz Kettnaker

Lutz Kettnaker spent his youth in Stuttgart. He received his first piano lesson at the age of 6 and at 14 founded his first jazz band, the "Battle Mount Seven" and later the "Happy Jazz Cats".

He studied conducting and sound engineering in Berlin and qualified as a piano teacher at the High School of Fine Arts. For many years he was a teacher of the Music School in Charlottenburg. He participated in numerous music groups, such as IG Blech, alternating as pianist, arranger and composer.

He has lived in Portugal since 1990. While in Lisbon he accompanied the singer Sylle Vie C., performed as solo pianist, and played in the Tagus Jazz Group.

After moving to the Algarve, he joined the group Cross Roads, and has accompanied several singers, such as Gabrielle van der Linden (jazz), Birgit Wegemann (classic) and Gisela Reuter (cabaret).
