Jazz @ The Museum: Art Life Quintet

The Art Life Quintet, alias Sahara Baby Jazz-band, has been a well-known name on the Algarve jazz-scene for many years. From 2001 till 2007, they were trained in Faro by the great bass-player /composer /pedagogue, Zé Eduardo.
For the past four years, the Art Life Babies have been performing and learning all around the globe. Their repertoire of personalised jazz-standards is made up of original music, introduced by each member of the band.
Wenzl is co-founder of the successful NY subway trio, Moon Hooch; Attila, studying in Berlin, is a student of Kurt Rosenwinkel and one of the hottest guitar players on the Berlin jazz-scene; Giotto teaches piano at the Cologne School of Music and is the leader of the Giotto Quartet. Charly has just finished his jazz-bachelor in Amsterdam and is bringing out his first album entitled Canvas Roussel, a mix of jazz and expressive song writing. Eddie is one of the most wanted drummers in Amsterdam and together with Charly they form an explosive swinging rhythm section.
This concert is going to be very exciting and a breath of fresh air, with five mature musicians being re-united at the São Brás Jazz-Club. A MUST for all music and jazz lovers.
