Francisco Brazão

 

Francisco was born in Faro in 1973.  He started his musical studies at the age of five  in the Regional Conservatory of the Algarve - Campina Maria, where he completed the Basic Course of Transverse Flute.

 

He started singing under the tutelage of Ana Ester Neves and from 2003 with Birgit Wegemann.

 

He was musical director of the Choir of School E.B. 1 Alto de Rodes in Faro and he has been Musical Director of the Choir Ideias do Levante since October of 2003.

 

As a singer, he has performed with the Ossónoba Choir; the Dionísio Trio (later the Dionísio Duo); a Portuguese traditional music group of the Regional Conservatory of the Algarve - Vá-de-Viró; a music group with traditional Portuguese roots - Urze and Zurze; the Choir Ideias do Levante; and the Trovadores da Lua Nova - a group singing  popular urban music.

 

Francisco has participated as singer in some shows and he has performed on CD with Alfonso Dias with the vocal group Moçoilas.

 

Francisco has been a Music Teacher since 1995.
